Why YouTube was banned by the government of Turkey in the year 2008

    YouTube was banned by the Government of Turkey in the year 2008. It was banned because of a controversial video deemed which was considered to be insulting “Mustafa Kemal Atatürk” (President of Turkey). But in the year 2010, this ban was removed by the Turkish Government as the controversial video which was reportedly posted by a Greek user was removed from the website by Google (owner of YouTube).
