    Yes, the news is true that the ministry of communication and information technology has inaugurated data portal of India in New Delhi on 8th August 2013. The main motive of this is sharing more and more data as it empowers and connects to policy making. Secondly it will help in bringing more transparency in the system and continuing the information revolution which started with the RTI act.
