Why Facebook was banned by Pakistan in 2010

    Facebook, Inc is one of the largest social networking website which was launched in the year 2004. This website was banned in Pakistan when a controversial group created a page on Facebook named as ” Everybody Draw Mohammed Day”. The order of ban on Facebook was given by the Lahore High Court on 19th May, 2010. This led to the setup of a Muslim-oriented social networking website called MillatFacebook. This website is similar to Facebook and was launched in May, 2010.
