Dr. Norman Borlaug (1914 – 2009) was a very famous American agronomist, humanitarian and Nobel laureate. He is best known as the father of green revolution especially in India, he is also called as “The Man Who Saved A Billion Lives”. He was the one who explained the new methods of agriculture which made an almost double profit to the Indian farmers. With the help of his Ideas the wheat production in the country was almost doubled. For his this work he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian honor.
