    “Abdulla Yameen” has been sworn in as the president of the Maldives on the 17th November 2013. With this he became the 6th president of the Maldives. He is a candidate of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) secured 51.39 percent of the votes.

    Abdulla Yameen was sworn in as the new president of the Maldives on 17.11.13 Yameen, 54, is an economist and was a candidate of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM)
