“James Cook” is a British explorer, navigator and cartographer, he discovered Australia in the year 1770 when he reached the eastern coastline of the Australia. In his honor, an educational institution in North Queensland was opened in 1970 which was named as “James Cook University”. He also joined the Royal Navy in the year 1755.
