The National Flag of India was designed by Pingali Venkayya. It is called as “Tiranga” and was adopted on 22 July 1947. The Indian national flag is made up of three color, i.e. Saffron, white and green and the Ashok chakra in navy blue is placed in the center of the flag. Pingali Venkayya was an Indian freedom fighter and was born on 2nd August, 1876 in Machilipatnam, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.
