Two teams of researchers from “China and Austria” broke a world record by teleporting quantum particles more than 50 miles through the open air. They did this by entangling two particles, like photons, so that they both have the exact properties. Using a third particle, the characteristics of one of these photons are beamed to a distant location, creating a remote copy.
