China is the largest producer of Silk in the world. However, 97 percent of the total silk in the world comes from the four states of India i.e. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. According to the data of 2005, china has produced about 290,003 Kilograms of Silk.
