GmailFS is a virtual file system which was launched by Google. It was developed by Richard Jones for Linux, but Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. It uses a Gmail e-mail account for storage and is based on underlying IMAP, SMTP and SMTP interaction with Gmail. It manages communication with Gmail and its speed is limited to the upload/download speed of the gmail server as well as internet connection of the user.
