    The App Store is a distribution platform for mobile application which only supports iOS (operating system). This service was launched on 9th July, 2008 with only 500 third party applications. As per the data of October 22, 2013, it has more than 1,000,000 applications. This service enables the user to download and browse applications from iOS devices via iTunes.
