    Bose Corporation is a privately held corporation which is known for its audio equipment. It was founded in the year 1964 by Amar G. Bose. In total the company has 8 plants, 126 retail stores as of 14 July 2012, and an automotive subsidiary in Stow, Massachusetts. The company is based in Framingham, Massachusetts, United States.

    Dr. Amar Bose was a sophisticated engineer and was known for his revolutionary research in acoustical engineering. He was an Indian American academic and entrepreneur. His company has some unique products like concert-hall-quality speakers and noise-canceling headphones. He died on 12th July 2013 at the age of 83 in Wayland, Massachusetts, United States
