    The chemical added to give particular smell to LPG is Ethyl Marcaptal. It is also known as ethanethiol. Ethyl Marcaptan is basically a colorless organic that has a very strong odor. Its chemical formula is C2H6S. It is being added to odorless fuel such as natural gas and work as a warning agent in case of leakage.
