    According to the latest news report it has been confirmed that the Charkha of Mahatma Gandhi that he used during the Quit India Movement was sold at the auctioned in the UK for 1.1 crore rupees approximately on 5 November 2013 in England.

    A spinning wheel or ‘charkha’ re- invented a new fold-able version by Mahatma Gandhi during his time at Pune’s Yerwada jail in 1940s was sold for a massive 110,000 pounds at an auction in the UK on Nov-5 2013.
