When i was about 17, even used Braces for about 6 month but it never hurt me.

Initially it’s gonna hurt a little but later on your will get use to to it.You will have to take care of your teeth as well and do as per the recommendation of your doctor.

To be honest while getting braces it is not gonna hurt you, but yes they will start hurting after a few hours. I would recommend you to take any pain killer medicine this will help you. But don’t get panic, stay clam. Eat soft foods in which you don’t have to chew much.
