    The office-bearer of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, I A Rehman told to the Express Tribune (English newspaper in Pakistan) on 26th November, 2013 that 56 women in Pakistan have been killed in the year 2013 for giving birth to girls rather than boys. He also said that 835 cases of violence against women and 344 cases of gang rape have been registered in the country from January 2012 to September 2013.

    According to a English newspaper of Pakistan, more than fifty six women have been killed in Pakistan in this year for giving birth to girls.
