According to the city government officials, more than 44 people have been killed and approximately 166 were injured in the Oil pipeline blast in Qingdao, China on 23rd November, 2013. The pipeline was owned by Sinopec (China’s largest oil refiner). The city government said that the oil was leaked for about 15 minutes onto the streets and it took the fire and exploded in two locations in the city. It was also said that it is the country’s worst industrial accident in this year.
