The answer to this Question has been under dispute since a long time. The government of India has made some investigation about the death of Subhash Chandra Bose. Initially it was said that he died in a plane crash in 1945. According to a report tabled in parliament in May 2006, Bose’s “death” was staged to facilitate an escape to the USSR. Later in 2006 a 102-year-old man claiming to be Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s driver-cum-bodyguard has claimed that the freedom fighter was not killed in an air crash in 1945.
