IT has been found in a study that around 600,000 people in India may have been saved from becoming infected with HIV over ten years with the help of a programme funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. A project which was launched in 2003 by the name of “Avahan”, the project is a great success according to the data collected in 24 different districts of South India in four years (2004-8), it is estimated that if the project is introduced in a huge platform then it can put more impact and protect more people from HIV.
