AM and PM is the abbreviation that is used to determine time in 12-hour clock. Both of them are a Latin phase where “ante meridiem” (a.m.) means before midday and “post meridiem” (p/m.) means after midday. It was first adopted as the standard time zone during the 15th and 16th century in Northern Europe.
