The Government of Thailand has imposed the state of emergency in Bangkok and the surrounding areas for 60 days on 22nd January, 2014 after the cabinet meeting. The government took this step after the anti-government protest, which is going on from last 2 months. The protesters are demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister “Thaksin Shinawatra”. He has refused to resign and called for elections on 2nd February, 2014.
