In a report on the status of the reactors the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) said enhanced efforts were made regarding nuclear safety and radiation protection not only this China also said that all its 15 operational nuclear power reactors are safe and enhanced efforts are being made to ensure their safety. Besides this China is also constructing 29 nuclear power plants and their construction quality is being well controlled, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted the report as saying.
