    The East India Company (EIC) originally known as the Governor and Company of Merchants of London trading into the East Indies was an English and later British joint-stock company. The company was dissolved in 1874. The present state of the company is that it is re-launch of the East India Company with new Indian owner “Sanjiv Mehta”.
