The literary rate in India has increased from 9% in the year 1947 to 74.04% till the year 2011. The literacy rate can be divided as the adult* literacy rate which is 74.04% till the year 2011 and the youth literacy rate which is 82% till the year 2011.In the year 2001, it was 65.38% and there is an increase of almost 9% till the year 2011.There has been a good enhancement in a literacy rate of India but still there is a long way to achieve more and more.
