‘Nitaqat Law’ has been implemented in Saudi Arabia to reduce the unemployment in the country. The law was implemented in June, 2011 by the Saudi Ministry of Labour. The main objective of this law is to regularise foreign workers although there are many clauses in this law but the main thing in this law is, it’s mandatory for local companies to hire one Saudi national for every 10 migrant workers. Those who fail to find another job or a sponsor have to go back.
