It is a death of a woman during pregnancy or within forty two days after the abortion or termination of pregnancy, irrespective of the place and cause of death. There are two types of Maternal death :
>> Direct maternal death : It is a death caused by complications of the pregnancy, delivery or by the combination or both.
>> Indirect maternal death : It is a death caused by any health problem which is not related to pregnancy.
