How much data has been collected by the Google Maps so far

    Google Maps is a web mapping service which was acquired by Google Inc. in October 2004. According to the data released by Google in October, 2012, Google Maps collected of 20 petabytes of satellite data which is equivalent of 20,500 terabytes of data. This data is the combined satellite data which were collected for the street view and aerial view feature of Google Maps.
