‘Organic Farming’ describes the manner how we produce our food. First the term ‘industrial farming’ was emerged from England and afterwards it was used in Japan and US. Later on, the word ‘Organic’ was founded by Rodale Press, J.I. Rodale in late 1950’s and then it started to be used in the US. The famous educator and filmmaker Christopher Chapman formed the Canadian Organic Soil Association in 1953.He understood the sense of humus and living soil and combined both of them and made two Canadian documentaries.
Later on, with a release of the book ‘Silent Spring’ by the scientist Rachel Carson the use of DDT was banned by the US government and thus, organic farming began to gain popularity.
