On which software Wikipedia used to run before 25th January, 2002

    Wikipedia is the largest general-knowledge free encyclopedia which was founded in the year 2001. Before 5th January, 2002, it ran on “UseModWiki”, which was a wiki engine that was written in Perl programming language. But with the launch of Wikimedia software on 25th January, 2002, all the wiki projects including Wikipedia were shifted on this software.
