The reason behind why the earth revolves around the sun and why not sun revolves around the earth is because of the mutual force of attraction between these two bodies, i.e. the gravitational force.
The sun and the earth both revolve around their common center of mass, Earth moves because the sun is much bigger than the Earth and the sun’s mass is so much larger than the earth’s mass, the force the sun gravitational pull it so it is attracted to it, which makes earth move.
Because the sun is a star which is actually the main source of energy in the solar system. Because of it’s great energy, it’s attraction dominates all the planets’ attraction to each other making the planets revolve around the sun. Planets get their energy from the sun and if the sun dies, the planets will loose their position in the solar system. Plus the planets are smaller than the sun.
