    Yes, the rate of unemployment has increased in India in recent years. The unemployment rate per 1,000 people has increased from 25 on 1st January, 2010 to 27 on 1st January , 2012. The number of unemployed people has also increased from 9.8 million to 10.8 millions in last two years.
