What is the old name of Lahore city of Pakistan

    “Shehwar Elahi ka thikana” was the old name of Lahore city of Pakistan. But some people also call it as Lavapuri. It was founded by Prince Lava or Loh.

    The exact name of Lahore is known in ancient times (around 1000 BC) as Lavapuri (City of Lava, in Sanskrit), was founded by Prince Lava also known as Loh, he was the son of Rama Chandra the King of Ajodhya.
